Shopping ads will appear above and alongside Lens’ visual search results before the end of 2024, Google announced today.
What it looks like. Google shared an example showing a search result someone would see when shopping for a green backpack using Lens. A searcher can tap the Lens icon in the search bar and then take or upload a photo to find out more about any product.
By the numbers. According to Google:
Of the 20 billion monthly Lens searches, 4 billion are related to shopping.
Google’s Shopping Graph has information about more than 45 billion products.

New Lens Search results. Google today is launching a new results page today for iOS and Android devices in select countries. It will show product information, such as:
