Google Lens is having a serving issue

Google Lens to add Shopping Ads this year

Google has confirmed a serving issue with the Google Lens search service. “There’s an ongoing issue with serving Google Lens results that’s affecting all users,” Google posted.

What is the issue. It seems Google is unable to properly and fully serve search results to searchers using Google Lens on their mobile devices.

I am not really able to replicate this, so I am not sure what the exact issue is.

What Google wrote. Google wrote at 9:46 ET this morning:

“There’s an ongoing issue with serving Google Lens results that’s affecting all users. We’re working on identifying the root cause. Next update will be within 12 hours.”

Then 30 minutes later, Google wrote:

“We’ve identified the issue with serving in Google Lens and we’re working on a fix. Next update will be within 12 hours.”

Then 15 minutes later:

“The issue with serving in Google Lens has been mitigated and our systems are becoming stable, but we’re still working on a fix. Next update will be within 24 hours.”

Why we care. If you get a lot of traffic from Google Lens, this may impact your site’s traffic and conversions for today. If you love using Google Lens and you are having issues now, this is why.
